Holy Family with Angels
Dramatic oil on copper painting by the German artist Adam Elsheimer(1578-1610). Elsheimer depicts the Virgin Mary and Jesus surrounded by angels.
A shepherd and one of his little lambs sit at Mary’s feet as numerous angels appear to wait their turn to see that infant Christ child for themselves.
