For now, I’m still building this index for all of the wonderful paintings on The Famous Artists. Tag clouds can be useful, but after a while they get quite ugly and hard to read. For now, I’ll keep my growing cloud, but I’ll be using this page to hopefully make it easier for everyone to find things on the site.

Generally, I’ve characterized paintings under a particular subject if the primary component of the painting fits under that heading. For example, a huge percentage of the paintings I’ve discussed include flowers but only those works that could be considered a floral piece are included within the category. Also, keeping with this example, if you are looking for paintings with a specific flower or color of flower, you might find what you are looking for faster if you use the Search function.

As the site grows, so too will this paintings by subject matter index. Please bare with me as this is a one woman project and is not the only thing she’s working on right now. If you can’t find what you are looking for here, please don’t assume that there are no paintings or artists on The Famous Artists that do not meet your needs. Please use the search function to make more detailed searches.
